Subject: 8-bit decoder

Has anybody got anything on: a 8-bit error coding-detecting decoder??
[The aim is that the system will take a potentially corrupted 8-bit Hamming
code as input and display the 'error diagnosis' as output. This is supposed
to be a distance-4 Hamming code which means that it can detect and correct
1-bit erros and detect two bit errors.]
Thanks in advance for anyhelp.
