I have seen a 'new' type of non-polarised capacitor used in various power electronics designs recently (German mainly), and have had no real luck finding the manufacturer. These items are of 'open' construction, made from metalised polymer, with plates at the ends. They are typically square in crossection, with a 'naked' external finish which looks as if it has been cleaned up or trimmed with a milling machine. I want to use these as an alternative to a conventional electrolytic in a new design. Any leads or info would be a great help. tia, JB.
